MARIJUANA LETTUCE CUPS
When we first moved, we had no idea what pests and fungus were prevalent in the Colorado cannabis cultivation scene. Our first personal harvest was a complete bust between russet mites and powdery mildew and that was when we discovered you have to have a preventative treatment regimen AND an Apocalyptic Treatment Regimen.
If you want to know how to kill russet mites, or get control of pests in your marijuana garden, we have created a treatment regimen for you! Always wear protective gear and clothing when spraying pesticides and fungicides. While many of these products are approved for organic gardening they can still cause irritation to the skin. Here are the sprays we recommend for eradicating pest and fungus infestations.
Check out the most delicious smelling organic pesticide for cannabis plants. Wizard’s Brew is locally produced and sold in Colorado and is the first natural pesticide that we used that truly gave us the upper hand in the garden.
Ed Rosenthall’s Zero Tolerance
This herbal pesticide is a great addition to your regimen because of the cinnamon oil. Make sure you follow the dilution rates to a tee. Improper or heavy coverage could lead to some burning on the leaves. OMRI tested for organic gardening.
Neem oil is an effective and inexpensive solution for pests and fungus. Some growers advise against neem believing that it suffocates the stomata. The plants don’t seem to mind when we spray! Add one tablespoon of neem oil per quart of warm water or 4 tablespoons per gallon.
Safer Garden Spray 3 in 1
Safer Brand’s 3 in 1 Pesticide is also OMRI tested and approved for organic gardening. This spray works as a miticide, fungicide, and pesticide. We’ve been using it for years now and haven’t seen any harmful side effects. As always, follow dilution rates to a tee.
Things to Remember
Shake your treatment solutions well before mixing. Cover every last inch of your plants, floors, and walls every time you treat. Rinse the plants with water in between treatments to prevent damage to plants. Each bottle will tell you dilution rates to fit your particular scenario.
